Roger Reif

Chairman

Roger brings with him many years of experience having been involved with Canby Telephone Association (DirectLink) for almost 40 years. As a life-long member of the community, he has been involved in many community activities and organizations including Canby Chamber of Commerce (past president), Canby Rotary Club (past president), Willamette Valley Country Club (past president), Canby School District Board Member (past chairman), Canby Educational Foundation, Canby Booster Club, youth athletics coach, and past chairperson of his church board.

Roger believes in the true cooperative spirit and has a strong desire to rekindle the cooperative characteristics that have made DirectLink a leader in the community and the telecommunications industry.


John Zieg

Vice Chair

John began serving on the Board in October 2008. John has been very active in the Canby community, having been involved in multiple business, civic and charitable activities, including General Canby Days, the Planning Commission, Canby Chamber of Commerce Board, a past President of the Canby Adult Center, Meals on Wheels driver, Canby Fire Department budget committee, Past President of Canby Rotary Club, and current President of the Canby Rotary Foundation. John has been an Optometrist in Canby for 25 years. He and his wife, Brigitte, have two children that used the Canby school system.


Teresa Sasse

Secretary/Treasurer

Teresa has been a resident of Canby for 34 years with her husband Scott and 3 children, Courtney, Emily, and Garrett. She owns Puddin’ River Chocolates, a business she started in 2007. Being an active member of the community is very important to Teresa. She is a member of the Canby Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Canby (past president & current Board member), and has been a Canby 4-H Swine Leader.

Teresa strongly believes in the value of service and doing what’s best to preserve our history and culture. She understands the importance of our future as a healthy, vibrant community, while maintaining and building a safe, inclusive, livable environment.


Mitch Magenheimer

Mitch is a lifelong resident of the Canby-area community, where he lives with his wife, Sara, and their four children. His professional expertise spans across financial planning, small business management, real estate, and agriculture.

A proud graduate of Oregon State University, Mitch earned his B.S. in Agricultural Business Management before launching his career as a financial analyst in Commercial Ag Lending. His passion for personal financial advisory services led him to transition to a career in financial planning 20 years ago, where he is currently an owner and managing partner with Cornerstone Wealth Management in Canby. He volunteers in the community serving with several non-profits and coaching youth sports


Bill Schaecher

New Member

Bill moved to Mt. Angel with his family when he was 8 years old. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and then attended Western Oregon University before transferring to Oregon State University. In 1989, he joined the family business at Clem J. Butsch Insurance Agency where he became part-owner and still owns and operates the independent insurance agency with his business partner Craig Emch. Bill and wife Rona have 3 children who they raised in Mt. Angel. Bill is heavily involved in volunteering throughout the community, including organizing youth sports, coaching, being a member of the Mt. Angel City Council, Church Council, and recently as a a member of the Discover Mt. Angel Board. Bill continues to be a proactive member of the Mt. Angel community helping where and when he can.
